Bernice torregrossa
Vice President & Grants Officer/ Moody Foundation
Bernice Torregrossa, a BOI, is a vice president and grants officer at the Moody Foundation. In her 33 years there, she has led partnerships with nonprofits in social services, education, health and the arts.
After graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in economics, she returned to Galveston to raise two daughters and work as a freelance journalist. She writes a weekly column for the Galveston Daily News, teaches fitness classes, and, as a Texas Master Naturalist, volunteers as a kayak guide at Galveston Island State Park.
