Michael is a BOI who left the Island after high school and came back as an IBC. Michael currently works as Green Infrastructure Program Coordinator with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, providing coastal communities with resources and knowledge to develop flood mitigation strategies through natural processes. With a background in coastal habitat restoration and environmental policy, Michael has a true passion for the future of the Island and its vital natural resources.

Michael and his lovely wife Sara raised both, their now grown, children in Galveston. He loves his community, has a heart for civic duty and is often out and about at local music festivals, Art Walks, farmers market, nature events, or any of the countless gatherings that the Island has to offer.
